Waterside Appartments Whatsapp Community

We’ve put it together so we can all communicate better. WhatsApp has a new community feature that we’ll be using now. Anyone who lives in the building is welcome to join. Once you join the community, you can pick any group chats from within it.

The main channel is also where admins can send out any important information. This channel is just for announcements rather than chatting.

At the time of launch, we’ll have 6 main channels:

Introduce

Yourself

When You arrive. This is the place to introduce yourself.

Feel free to share a pic so we can say hi for real.

This is your Chat Main Group

Just general chit-chat. Let's get to know each other. When you join you will be in this group by default.

The Watercooler

Moans + Groans

If you are not happy with something, stick it in here. We all love a whine now and again.

It's the perfect place to get it off your chest

Add lets put it here and then you can tell us all.

Questions

The Boring Bits

Even though we don't like boring rules, we want this to be an inclusive and useful resource for all members.

This is for residents of the waterside Appartments Only. (The only exception is Concierge are in the "Building Questions" chat & can send messages to he main broadcast group)

Keep chats in the relevant channels where possible.

Play nicely, we don’t have to all be friends but try not to be rude

Please note this is a new feature and a bit of an experiment. There is currently a technical limitation that means we have to have admins to let people into groups. I understand this is something that will change and the feature is rolled out more.

We’re open to feedback about how it's managed as we go forward. We’d like it to be self-regulating. Admins are here to make sure the tech side works rather than police everything.

The main purpose of this community is to give us more opportunities to meet more awesome people who live here and form a helpful and useful community.
